Bitcoin is the very first cryptocurrency and was founded by an anonymous person or group of individuals, named Satoshi Nakamoto.
Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin whitepaper titled “Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System” in late 2008 and the first Bitcoin version (Bitcoin Core) in January 2009. The pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto has been repeatedly associated with different people, but his identity remains a mystery to this day.
