Charles Hoskinson

Charles Hoskinson is founder of Cardano and co-founder of the second largest cryptocurrency Ethereum.

After internal disputes with Vitalik Buterin about the future direction of Ethereum, he left the project in 2014 and founded Input Output HK (IOHK) together with his former Ethereum colleague Jeremy Wood. IOHK is a blockchain infrastructure and engineering company that developed the well-known blockchain and smart contract platform Cardano (ADA).

Charles Hoskinson and IOHK support academic research on blockchain technology at various universities. In 2020 Hoskinson founded a blockchain research project at the University of Wyoming.
